The role combines consultative sales, space planning, product expertise, and relationship building into one rewarding career. The Art of Drawers design process is built around understanding the customer's needs first, then creating solutions that improve workflow, accessibility, visibility, and organization.
Our Designer roles are flexible - You set your hours. You decide how far you travel. You decide your sales goals.
- Conduct in-home design appointments with self-generated client leads, and some company generated leads
- Create accurate designs and measurements, prepare quotes, and close sales
- Provide an exceptional customer experience from initial client engagement to successful project sign-off
- Collaborate effectively with installers and operations
- Upload leads, orders, estimates, and client designs/photos promptly
- Earn positive customer reviews and referrals
- Commit to continuous improvement; attend and participate in on-going designer training and seek out feedback
- Easily build rapport and communicate with prospects and clients
- Quickly learn and accurately use Art of Drawers' offerings, processes, and technology
- Employ basic algebra, design, measure, gather, and document details
- Strong organizational and oral/written professional communication skills
- Enjoy working independently
- Friendly, confident, and driven nature
- Previous in-home sales, design, remodeling, luxury sales, space-planning experience a plus
Training
- Ride-alongs and field training with experienced designers
- On-line modules, videos, manuals, and face-to-face check-ins to learn the Art of Drawers' products, processes, and systems
- Interactive AI sales appointment simulations, live practice appointments, real-time appointment feedback
- 3-day Sales training in Atlanta
- Ongoing sales coaching and training, and lead generation training
